Edgar Lee Sherman, 74, of Jefferson Township, Ohio, formerly of Johnson County, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his home.

Edgar was born April 22, 1946 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Dallas and Carrie Imogene Blanton Sherman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Clovis Powers Sherman on November 26, 2013.

He is survived by seven sons, James "Buck" Sherman, Bernard Sherman, Dallas Sherman, Jerry Sherman, P.J. Sherman, Paul Sherman, and Glen Sherman; one daughter, Brenda Sherman; one brother, Paul Sherman; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Roger Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020, 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2020 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020.
