Elbert Lewis Spears, age 77 of Sitka, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at his home.

Elbert was born August 30, 1945 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late George W. Spears and Eva Jackson Woodruff.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda Ratliff Spears, whom he married on May 6 ^th , 1972. To this union were born three children, son, Robert (Dawn) Spears of Crittenden, Kentucky, and daughters, Christy (Dustin) Blanton of Salyersville, Kentucky and Shelly (Jason) Montgomery of Sitka, Kentucky.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Robert Chasse of Morehead, Kentucky, Rachel Blackburn of Newport, Kentucky, Brock (Jessica) Spears of Dunlap, Tennessee, Jason Spears of Crittenden, Kentucky, Landon Spears of Crittenden, Kentucky, Raelynn Spears of Crittenden, Kentucky, Xavier Spears of Crittenden, Kentucky, Jaelynn Chasse of Crittenden, Kentucky, and Xadia Chasse of Morehead, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Hager Hill, Kentucky with Ron Fitzsimmons officiating. Friends and Family may visit the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Sunday, January 1, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
