Ellanoel Perry Howes, age 89, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 at her home.

Ellanoel was born March 31, 1932 in Floyd County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Bill and Ermie Parker Perry.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh Howes; three brothers, Sam Perry, James Perry and John Perry; one sister Martha Burke.

She is survived by one son, Gale Douglas Howes of Prestonsburg, KY; one daughter, Charlotte Faye Hensley of Paintsville, KY; one sister, Avonell Sturgill of Lima, Ohio; four grandchildren, Christopher Raleigh Hensley, Brent Anthony Hensley, Chad Allen Hensley and Tiffany Renee Howes; seven great-grandchildren, Christian Anthony Hensley, Camron Allen Hensley, Conner Axel Hensley, Caylee Ann Hensley, Braxton Lee Hensley and Gabriella and Ryder Howes.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Jimmy Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery, Prestonsburg, KY.  Friends may call at Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
