Ellis Eugene Griffith, age 58, passed away Friday at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.

Ellis was born March 7, 1962 in Floyd County, Kentucky, son of the late Wayne "Bud" Griffith and Irene Reffitt Griffith.  He is preceded in death by both of his parents and wife Joann Scarberry Griffith.

He is survived by one son Derrick Griffith; one brother; Cordell Griffith; two sisters Melissa Webb and Tammy Horne; two grandchildren Maci Griffith and Keira Mollett; numerous nieces and nephews Randall Seal, Nathan Messer, Ashley Seal, Adam Messer and Justin Seal.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Brent Tackett Officiating. Burial at the Lucy Castle Cemetery at River, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
