Evelyn Reed, age 68, of Paintsville, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at her residence.

She was born on January 30, 1958, in Paintsville to the late Sammie and Nellie Porter Reed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Sammie Reed Jr, and one sister: Rosemary Reed.

She is survived by one nephew: Sammie (Deborah) Reed III of Van Lear; one great niece: Rachel (Logan) Holt; one great nephew: Jakob Reed.

Evelyn was a member of the East Point Church of Christ.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Richie Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Ramey Cemetery at East Point. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 11 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the funeral services at 1 P.M.
