Everett Lee Sexton, age 71, of Staffordsville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 at his home.

Lee was born November 5, 1950 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Billy J. Sexton and Alma Mae Branham Sexton. In addition to his parents, Lee is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Brittany Nichole, three sisters, Joyce Ann Baldridge, Doris Sexton and Deloris Sexton Hill and five deceased brothers, Phillip Samuel Sexton, William Vencil Sexton, Ernie Ray Sexton, James Douglas Sexton, and Bobby Gene Sexton.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Sexton; two sons, Everett (Rosa) Sexton, Jr. and Anthony (Rachel) Sexton all of Staffordsville, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Chasity Nichole (Austin) Martin, Haylee Kiersten Sexton, Chelsey Raeann Sexton, Allie Faith Sexton, and Tori Aubrey Sexton; two great grandchildren, Rylan Layne Fyffe and Sutton Michael Lee Martin; seven brothers, Larry Keith (Margie) Sexton of Paintsville, Kentucky, Arnold Michael (Lisa) Sexton of River, Kentucky, Johnny Bill (Shirley) Sexton of Paintsville, Kentucky, Gary Lewis (Stephanie) Sexton of Flat Gap, Kentucky, Albert Estill (Tina) Sexton of Paintsville, Kentucky, Steve Ellis (Elizabeth) Sexton of Thealka, Kentucky, and Troy Stanley (Marlina) Sexton of Thealka, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Larry Blair officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 5, 2022, 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2022 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2022.
