Obituary

Frankie Lane Fitch, 70, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Born on July 14, 1956, in Paintsville, Kentucky, Frankie was the son of the late Frank Marion Fitch and Elsie Honeycutt Fitch.

Frankie lived a life centered on faith, family, and serving others. For many years, he worked as a truck driver with Overnite Transportation Company, providing for his family with dedication and hard work. While he enjoyed his career, his greatest calling was serving the Lord. As a minister at Victory Baptist Church in Georgetown, Frankie faithfully preached God's Word, sang His praises, and devoted his life to leading others to Christ. He never met a stranger, always had a smile on his face, and could brighten any room with his joyful spirit. Those who knew Frankie knew his unwavering love for Jesus was reflected in the way he lived each day—with kindness, compassion, and a servant's heart.

Outside of the pulpit, Frankie enjoyed cars and trucks, but his greatest joy was the time he spent with the people he loved most. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, an adoring "Papaw," and a faithful friend. His family was his greatest earthly blessing, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Molly Castle Fitch; his daughter, Katie (Christopher) Bailey; and his cherished grandchildren, Cannon Bailey and Kenna Bailey. He is also survived by his brothers, Phillip (Karen) Fitch, Paul Fitch, Stevie (Christy) Fitch, David (Pamela) Fitch, Starlin (Ruth) Fitch, and John (Elizabeth) Fitch; his sisters, Irene (Clyde) Music, Teresa Williams, and Debbie (Jeff) Cooper; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Frankie was preceded in death by his brothers, Keith Fitch and George Owen Fitch.
