Garland Lemaster, age 77, of Hager Hill, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at his residence.

Garland was born July 19, 1944, in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Plennie Lemaster and Anna Tackett Lemaster.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, John Richard "Richie" Lemaster and Wallace Eugene "Wally" Lemaster, one daughter, Kimberly Cole, three brothers, Johnnie Lemaster, James Everett Lemaster and Wallace Franklin Lemaster, and four sisters, Irene Auxier, Darlene McKenzie, Roberta McCarty, and Jeanette Lemaster.

He is survived by his wife, Valeeta Kestner Lemaster, two daughters, Melissa Ann (Bill) May of Hager Hill, KY, and Stephanie (Mick) Vanhoose of Paintsville, KY; three sisters, Jessie Grace Cochran of Ohio, Lillian Lemaster of Ohio, and Jo Ann Blanton of Paintsville, KY; eleven grandchildren, Randen Lemaster, Adam May, Tanner May, Cheranda Skaggs, Addison Lemaster, Breonna Collins, Trevor McCarty, Camryn McCarty, Grant Vanhoose, Davis Vanhoose, and J.T. Vanhoose; four great-grandchildren, Bodhi May, Timber Collins, Arian Skaggs, Case McCarty, and two on the way.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022, in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Jim McKenzie and Lowell Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Kestner Family Cemetery, Hager Hill Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022, and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022.
