Garry Melvin Wallen, age 63, of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 at UK Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky.

Garry was born February 27, 1957 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late William Edward and Jean Hazelett Wallen.

He is survived by two sons, Joshua Stephen Wallen of Paintsville, Kentucky and Garry Michael Wallen of Taylor Michigan; three brothers, Larry Edward Wallen of Arizona, William Tony Wallen of Tutor Key, Kentucky, and Troy Donahue Wallen of Alabama; two sisters, Donna Patrick of Paintsville, Kentucky and Tammie Williams of Boons Camp, Kentucky; and six grandchildren, Joshua Tanner Wallen, Ryleigh Brooke Wallen, Lukas Ryley Wells, Kooper Raylan Wells, Abbigail Fayth Wallen, and Bristol Ryelle Wallen.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Southside Freewill Baptist Church, Paintsville, Kentucky with Venny VanHoose officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Southside Freewill Baptist Church on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 26, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
