Garry Michael Wells, age 70, of Flat Gap, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 at his home.

Garry was born December 18 , 1951 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Edgar Wells and Rebecca Preston Wells. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers, Herbert Ray Wells, Larry Wells, Zip Wells, Jimmy Ronald Wells and Edgar Wells, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Grim Wells; two sons, Michael Edgar (Jerah) Wells of Dayton, Ohio and David Wells of Kettering, Ohio; two step-sons, Allen Harris and Randy (Lora) Harris both of Flat Gap, Kentucky; one step-daughter, Sandra  (Maurice) Hall of Flat Gap, Kentucky; three sisters, Jewell Fitch of Zepher Hill, Florida, Christine Hall of Wolfe County, Kentucky and Darlene Blair of Hager Hill, Kentucky; ten grandchildren, Dustin (Brittany) Harris, Emily (Reuben) Watson, Austin Harris, Hannah Harris, Amanda (Aaron) Music, Jerad Wells, Connor Wells, Alison Harris, Katie Wells and Kinsley Hall; three great-grandchildren, Maggie Harris, Amani Watson and Colt Harris .

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Saturday, October 8, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Tim  Salyers officiating. Burial will follow at Wells Family Cemetery, Boons Camp, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2022, and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 Noon Saturday, October 8, 2022.

Full military honors will be conducted by Auxier Chapter 18 DAV
