Gary Blair, age 72, of Swamp Branch, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Pikeville Medical Center.

Gary was born July 10, 1952 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Basil Blair and Alta Blair. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Gene Blair, Bill Blair, and Fred Blair and two sisters, Opal Williams and Mabel Billiter.

Gary is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Fairchild Blair. To this union was born one son, Bryan Edward Blair of Swamp Branch, Kentucky.

Also surviving are, one grandson, Travis Blair of Swamp Branch, Kentucky; one brother, Roy Blair of Swamp Branch, Kentucky; and one sister, Judy Beard of Riceville, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Joe Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2024 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2024.
