George Washington Ward, age 70, of  Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Genesis Health Care, Ashland, Kentucky.

George was born January 16, 1952 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Clyde Ward and Massie Butcher Ward. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde Ward, Jr. and Lonnie Ward; one sister, Linda Litteral.

He is survived by one brother, Clifton Ward, of Paintsville, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Ronnie Spriggs officiating. Burial will follow at Daniels-Ward Family Cemetery, Williamsport, Kentucky.  Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2022  at Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
