Georgene Trimble McKenzie born in Johnson County on January 27, 1924 passed away April 17, 2021 at home after an extended illness.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Oscar McKenzie, parents Bruce and Norsie (Reed) Trimble, three brothers Davis Reed, Granvil C. and Paul Wade Trimble, sister Lorene Trimble Carney, daughter-in-law Joan (Blanton) McKenzie, son-in-law Sam Gullett, son-in-law Vince Price.

Surviving are, her brother John Mark Trimble, Paintsville, six children Charles Michael McKenzie, Louisville, Elaine (Michael) Tyree, Frenchburg, Mary Anna (John Phillip) Crace, New Tazewell, TN, Melinda McKenzie, Lexington, Lora Ellen Gullett, Morehead, Gena Francis (John) Jayne, Flat Gap, twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Kenny Pelphrey, Mitchell Spradlin and Joe McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in the Reed Family Cemetery, Picklefork, Oil Springs, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
