Glen Mac Childers, age 76, of Prestonsburg, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center.

He was born on September 28, 1950, in Prestonsburg, to the late Forest and Laura Music Childers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel C. Shepherd, and two brothers, Billy Roger Childers and John Childers.

On June 14, 1969, in Prestonsburg, he married Jacquelyn Neeley Childers, who survives. Additional survivors include one son, Glen Edward (Selina) Childers of Prestonsburg; one daughter, Stephanie Lynn (David) Hopson; one sister, Rue Hemmie Hager of David; three grandchildren: Amber Childers, Kelli Hopson (Cameron Wells), Kaylee Hopson (Colin Fannin); one great-grandson, Cameron Blake Wells, along with one on the way.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 A.M. on Sunday, November 8, 2026, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home, with Brent Tackett officiating. Interment will follow at the Cecil Neeley Family Cemetery in Abbot Creek, Prestonsburg. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M.; on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 1 P.M. until 8 P.M.; and on Sunday from 9 A.M. until the time of the funeral services at 11 A.M.
