Glenda Barnett Goggans, age 83, of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at her home.

Glenda was born May 7, 1937 in Geraldine, Alabama, daughter of the late Coy Pierce and Mildred Patton Barnett. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Sutton Goggans and one sister, Sara B. Jolley.

She is survived by her husband, L.T. "Bunk" Goggans; one son, Phillip Neal (Jennifer Susan) Goggans of Paintsville, Kentucky; one sister, Rebecca B. Washington of Gadsden, Alabama; five grandchildren, Joseph Goggans, Susanna Goggans, Rebecca Goggans, Elijah Goggans and Cole Goggans.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021 at Mayo Memorial United Methodist Church, 325 3rd Street, Paintsville, Kentucky with Rev. Amy Chapman and Bishop Lindsey Davis officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Mayo Memorial United Methodist Church from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021.
