On February 23, 2022 Harold G King, of Nippa Kentucky, loving husband and father of four passed away at the age of 84.

Harold was born on March 11, 1937 in Van Lear Kentucky.

Harold worked for General Electric in Cleveland Ohio for 20 years and as an Eastern Kentucky coal miner for 17 years. On January 5, 1957 he married the love of his life Bonnie Ann (Music) and they raised four children together. Harold enjoyed a lifelong passion for playing and singing bluegrass and country music.

Harold played with several local musicians and was known to donate his talents to fundraisers across the state. He was a self-taught musician and was skilled at playing "anything with strings." Harold will be deeply missed for many reasons including his devotion to his family, his music making, his contributions to the community, his wonderful storytelling and his love of a good healthy debate on all subjects- big and small.

Harold was preceded in death by his mother Edna and father Carl, brother Carl Ray, Sisters Patricia Harlene and Bonita.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Bonnie, his son David and wife Crystal of Fort Worth Texas, daughter Patricia Bowen and husband Loren of Branford Florida, daughter Jane Bolinsky and husband Joe of Stow MA, son James and wife Mary of Haltom City Texas, grandchildren Christopher, Ronald, David, Miranda, Sam and Grace; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brothers Jack, Paul and Darrell and many nieces and nephews.

Honoring his wishes of cremation, friends and loved ones are invited to attend his memorial service to be held on March 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Meade's Branch Freewill Baptist Church in Louisa, Kentucky. A private family burial to be held at a later date.
