Hobert Witten, Jr, age 90, of Sitka, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 in Hazard, Kentucky.

Hobert was born July 5, 1930 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Hobert "Chip" Witten and Mary Jane Akers Witten. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by former spouse Anna Ruth Witten and three brothers, San Staniford, Johnnie Staniford, and Junior Staniford.

He is survived by one son, Hobie Witten and wife Teresa of Sitka, Kentucky; two daughters, Kathy Witten Castle of Sitka, Kentucky and Tina Gilley of Tampa Florida; two sisters, Mary McKenzie of Sitka, Kentucky and Deloris Doster of Paintsville, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Scott Castle, Erik Castle, Tyler Witten and Nicholas Gilley; and one great grandchild, Danielle Castle.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2020 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Jim McKenzie officiating.  Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday, October 2, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
