Howard King, age 73, of Sitka, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023 at Three River medical Center, Louisa KY.

Howard was born March 4, 1950 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Floyd King and Julia Burton King. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Michel Hayes King; seven brothers Chester James King, Floyd King, Jr., Charlie King, Mack King, Bill King, Henry King and Hampton King; six sisters, Dora King, Emma Flannery, Rosie Davis, Clora Cantrell, Vina Faye Chandler, and Ludy King.

He is survived by one son, Chester King of Staffordsville, Kentucky; one daughter, Melissa King of Staffordsville, Kentucky; and one granddaughter, Summer Elizabeth Michelle King.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2023 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Harry Neal Frisby officiating. Burial will follow at King Family Cemetery, Sitka, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2023 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2023.
