Iva Dean Perry Preece, age 87, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023.

Iva was born January 31, 1936, in Martin County, Kentucky, daughter of the late John Sherman Perry and Lucy Endicott Perry. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn H. Preece and two brothers, Wade T. Perry and Sherman Perry, Jr.

She is survived by one son, Gary L. (Vikki) Preece of Versailles, Kentucky; two daughters, Glendine (Samuel) Hale of Prestonsburg, Kentucky and Charlotte (David) Combs of Wichita, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Samuel Glenn Hale (Brittany), Caitlin Ann Hale, Zachary David Combs, Luke Isaac Combs, Joshua Glenn Carter Combs, Kelsey Marie Moreland and Grantly Hayes Preece; five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, in the Hager Hill Free Will Baptist Church with Ronnie Spriggs officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, KY. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2023. and 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m., November 17, 2023, at Hager Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
