Jack R. Adams from Oil Spring, KY, born on July 3, 1936, passed into heaven on June 27, 2022 at the age of 85.

Jack worked as a pipe-fitter for over 30 years, he was a charter member of the Oil Springs Volunteer Fire Department, and an avid outdoorsman.  He was lovingly devoted to his family, his friends, his church, his God and Savior, and was a member of Oil Springs United Methodist Church. A kind and generous man, Jack was quick to lend a helping hand, and slow to find fault.  His warm smile and humble heart will be greatly missed.

He is survived by:  his wife of 65 years, Peggy Adams; his sons, Doug Adams – wife Rosie of Whittier, California and Brent Adams – wife Leigh Anne of Circle Pines, Minnesota; his grandsons, Nathan Adams – wife Erica, Aaron Adams and Liam Adams; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janet Sue and Ted Mejeur; his sister-in-law, Mary Sue Adams; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: his parents Bruce and Pearlie Adams; his siblings, Gertrude Prater, Pauline Prater, Harmon Green Adams, Geraldine Conley, Barbara Spradlin, Cecil Adams.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with McCoy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022.
