Jack Eugene Pennington, age 94, formerly of Oil Springs, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 in Wheelersburg, Ohio.

Jack was born December 31, 1928 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Arthur Pennington and Alice Long Pennington. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Howard Pennington, granddaughter, Tiffany Dion Pennington, four brothers, and one sister.

He is survived by one son, Phillip Reece Pennington and wife Ruby McCarty Pennington of Ashland, Kentucky; one daughter, Teresa Lynn Cantrell of Winchester, Kentucky; one brother, Hager Keith Pennington of Oil Springs, Kentucky; three sisters, Betty Louise Lemaster of Cambridge, Ohio, Bonita Sue (Jeff) Conley of Springfield, Ohio and Mary Effe (Ben) Tackett of Xenia, Ohio; three grandchildren, Donathan Eugene (Rachel) McCarty, Brent Allen (Melody) McCarty, and Heather Danielle (Mark) Johnson; eight great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be conducted 12:30 p.m. Friday, January 27 ^th , 2023 at Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Friday, January 27, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:20 p.m.
