James "Ab" Albert Young, age 88, of Tutor Key, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Highlands ARH in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

Albert was born August 3,1935 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Mount Young and Ada Young. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Lil Kestner Young, one daughter, Abby Lynn Young, and two brothers Danny Young and William Young.

He survived by one daughter, Jamie Welch of Whitehouse, Kentucky and one granddaughter Kaylee Welch of Whitehouse Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2023 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Ronnie Spriggs officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Sunday, August 6, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, August 7, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
