James Dennis "Rab" Mollette, age 70, of Boons Camp, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026, at his home.

James was born September 24, 1955, in Johnson County, Kentucky son of the late William "Bill" Mollette and Elva Butcher Mollette. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by Betty Spears, Wanda Daniels, Teresa Daniel, Susan Housesinger, Billy Joe Mollette, Larry Dale Mollette, Rodrick Pete Mollette and Emery Mollette.

He was a self-employed excavator operator and was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Sue "Susie" Crum Mollette; three son, Brian Dennis (Angela) Mollette of Boons Camp, Kentucky, Bradley Scott (Kimberly) Mollette of Tomahawk, Kentucky and Adam Crace (Brittany) Mollette of Sadieville, Kentucky; two brothers, Claude Mollette of Tomahawk, Kentucky and Ronald Dean Mollette of Boons Camp, Kentucky; and two sisters, Georgia Burnette of Tennessee and Conda Mollett of Boons Camp, Kentucky; and seven grandchildren, Andrew (Sara) Mollette, Ashley (Dylan) Boner, Kierstin Mills Mollette, Maddie Crace, Bryson Crace, Dennis Mitchell, and James Mitchell.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Buffalo United Baptist Church, with Claude Mollette and Brian Crum officiating. Burial will follow in the Mollette Cemetery at Boons Camp, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Buffalo United Baptist Church on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
