James "Jimbo" Ernest Castle, age 81, of Buffalo, West Virginia, formerly of Johnson County, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Charleston Area Medical Center.

James was born September 8, 1940 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Lindsey and Edna Isaac Castle. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Burkes Castle, two sons, Mike Castle and Richard Castle, one daughter, Judy Ratliff and several brothers.

He is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Castle, Julia Jones, Ruby Castle; five sons, Russell Castle, Rick Castle, Jake Castle, Rudy Castle, and Frank Castle; four sisters, Pearlene Blanton, Merb Stambaugh, Joyce Stambaugh and Louise Burchett; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with William Paul Castle officiating. Burial will follow at the Castle Family Cemetery, Tutor Key, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
