James Ray Moore, age 54, of Wyandotte, MI, formerly of Johnson County, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025, at his residence.

He was born February 14, 1971, in Louisa, KY, to Jewell Mullins Rowland and the late James Vernon Moore.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his significant other, Alberta Dorris, one son: James Vernon Moore II of Wyandotte, MI; one daughter: Angelica Rae Fraley of Flat Gap, KY; two stepdaughters: Michelle Dorris, Nicole Dorris; one sister: Jewell Moore of South Gate, MI; and three grandchildren: Hunter, Kingston, and Jason.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home—burial to follow in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery at Staffordsville. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 10 A.M. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, until the time of services at 1 P.M.
