James "Porky Pig" Adams, age 87, of Staffordsville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Mt. Manor of Paintsville.

James was born January 29, 1935 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Mart Adams and Nova Cantrell Adams. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Robert Lee Adams, one daughter, Teresa Adams, one son-in-law, Hobert Blair; four sisters, Pauline Jaynes, Lesta Adams, Edna Ramey, and Christine Meade, and one brother, Willard Adams.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Pauline Webb Adams; one son, Mike (Wilma) Adams of Paintsville, Kentucky; two daughters, Kathy Blair of Denver, Kentucky and Roberta "Birdie" (Eddie) Fairchild of Staffordsville, Kentucky; two sisters, Linda Mollette of Ohio and Esta Penix of Hager Hill, Kentucky; one daughter-in-law, Jamie Adams; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Elder Freddy Salyer, Elder Jamie Slone and Elder Allen Fannin officiating with burial to follow at Webb-Adams Cemetery, Barnetts Creek, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2022, 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022, and 11:00 a.m. until time of service 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2022.
