James Richard Kestner, II known to his friends and family as Ricky passed away on January 21, 2022, at the Community Hospice in Ashland, Kentucky at age 52.

Ricky was a resident of Johnson County, Kentucky.

He is the son of Dottie Moles Kestner of Louisa, Kentucky and the late James R Kestner. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by one sister, Sheri Lynn Kestner Hensley.

He married Patrica Jo VanHoose Kestner on March 4, 1997. He had 3 daughters, Caron Elizabeth Kestner age 30-Partner Allen Dickerson, Sheri Lynn Kestner age 24-Partner Cedar Pine, and Jamie (Jay) Marie Kestner age 22-Partner Mason Mackey. He has 4 nieces and 2 nephews. Megan Hensley-Partner John, Kristen Danelle Hensley Adkins m. Matt Adkins. Amber Nichole Harbin Gibson m. Hunter Gibson, Adam Harbin, and Jeremy Harbin. Ricky also has 3 great nephews and 3 great nieces.

Ricky was an EMT in Johnson, Floyd, Lawrence, and Pike Counties and later was dispatch for Quest Care Ambulance Service. He was a former member of the Johnson County Rescue Squad, Oil Springs Fire Dept., and an Auxiliary Sheriff's Deputy.
