Jason Alan VanHoose, age 50, of Hager Hill, passed away Thursday morning, June 11, 2026, at Paintsville ARH Regional Medical Center.

He was born on April 15, 1976, in Paintsville to Emma Faye McCarty VanHoose and the late Lifes "Junior Lee" VanHoose.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his long-time companion, Sandy Baldwin; one daughter, Angelecia Baldwin of Flat Gap; one brother, Brian (Sharon) VanHoose of Hager Hill; one granddaughter, Mayzie Spriggs; two nieces, two great-nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, and great friends who all mourn his passing.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Monday, June 15, 2026, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Ronnie Spriggs officiating. Interment will follow at the Topsy Ratliff Cemetery at Hager Hill. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M.; on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 12 P.M. until 8 P.M.; and on Monday from 10 A.M until the time of the funeral services at 11 A.M.
