Jerry Donis Ward, affectionately known as "Jarhead", age 62, of Williamsport, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022.

Jerry was born March 16, 1959 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Ashley Ward and Arlene Blair Ward Castle. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, David Ashley Ward and step-father, Sammy "Burrhead" Castle.

He is survived by his wife, Esther Walters Ward; two sons, Jerry Bradley Ward and wife Alice Faye of Williamsport, Kentucky and John Wesley Ward and wife Sarah of Swamp Branch, Kentucky; one grandson, Tucker Layne Ward; one brother, Danny Ward and wife Wilma of Thelma, Kentucky; and four sisters, Judy Blanton of Staffordsville, Kentucky, Lajeania Vickers and husband Larry of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Terrie Crislip and husband Melvin of Sitka, Kentucky and Martha Ward of Sarasota, Florida.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Joe Scott and Rick Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in the Walters Family Cemetery, Williamsport, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022 and 11:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
