Jewell VanHoose Johnson, age 75, of Sitka, KY, passed away Monday, November 2, 2020 at her home.

Jewell was born October 22, 1945 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ray VanHoose and Josephine Daniel VanHoose.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Larry, Gary, James Conn and Jimmy VanHoose and three sisters, Wanda Mae Blanton, Emma Sue VanHoose and Shirley Osborne Sublett.

She is survived by her husband, LeRoy Johnson; four sons, Paul Slone of Flat Gap, KY, Tim Slone of Pataskala, Ohio, Ronnie Johnson (Amy) of Chillicothe Ohio;  Leroy Johnson, Jr. (Lisa) of Oil Springs, KY;  two daughters, Becky Woods (John) of Clay City, KY;  Charlotte Duty of Grove City, Ohio; one brother, Carey VanHoose of Tallahasee, FL; one sister, Leatrice Miller of Grove City, Ohio, also several grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2020 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020.
