Jimmie Lee Ratliff, age 80, of Staffordsville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024 at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, Kentucky.

Jimmie was born September 14, 1944 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Rev. Earl Ratliff and Mattie Ward Ratliff. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by six brothers, Clyde Ratliff, Robert Earl Ratliff, Leroy Ratliff, James Ratliff, Frank Ratliff, Earl Ratliff, Jr. and five sisters, Clara Fraley, Cora O'Bryan, Hattie Marie Castle, Lois Ann Ratliff, and Janice Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Lynn Sergent Ratliff; three daughters, Denise Ratliff Lemaster of Louisville, Kentucky, Deborah Lynn (Duane) McCuddy of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and Paula Yvonne (Chris) Houston of Staffordsville, Kentucky; one sister, Shirley Kretzer of Winchester, Kentucky; ten grandchildren, Chase (Tiffany) McCuddy, Shelby (Alex) Carter, Milli (Alex) Conley, Andrew McCuddy, Madi (Mindy) Houston, Brett (Caytlyn) McCuddy, Darbi Houston, Ethan McCuddy (Kristen Grimes), Kiley Houston, and Peyton Houston; six great grandchildren, Harrison, Harper, Julia, Cecilia, Theodore, and Ava Claire; two sisters in laws, Lilly Ratliff and Lois Ratliff of Staffordsville, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was a member of the Toms Creek Free Will Baptist Church.

Jimmie worked in the coal industry as a heavy equipment operator.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2024 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with James Kelly Caudill officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2024 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2024.
