John Douglas Plummer, age 73, of Thealka, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at St. Mary's Medical Center.

John was born February 15, 1950 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Vincent Douglas Plummer and Betty Ann Mollette Plummer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Deloris Kay Wilcox Plummer of Thealka, KY; one son, John Douglas Plummer, Jr of Prestonsburg, KY; one daughter, Angela Kay Plummer (Brian) Mollette of Boons Camp, KY; one sister, Toni Ann (Paul) Fletcher of Lexington, KY; two grandchildren, Brian Andrew Mollette and Ashley Brooke Mollette. John was a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25 , 2023 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Roger Hill and Mark Tackett officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023.
