Josie May Fannin VanHoose, age 67, of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Paintsville ARH.

Josie was born August 29, 1957 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Arthur Fannin and Verna Waller Fannin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her spouses, Marvin Fannin, Jr. and Danny VanHoose and siblings, Homer Fannin and Margie Fannin Goodwin.

She is survived by one son, Marvin (Ashley) Fannin of Lick Creek, Kentucky; one daughter, Stephanie Sexton (Rodney Selvage) of Paintsville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Ava, Max, Tiffany, Racheal, Kelly, Heather, and Austin; eight great grandchildren; four brothers, Jessie, Mark, Chris, and Arthur; three sisters, Linda, Patricia, Sharon, and Tammy.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Walters Family Cemetery, Stambaugh Branch, Sitka, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2025 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025.
