Kathy Ann Castle, age 76, of Thealka, KY, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 13, 2025, at Paintsville ARH Regional Medical Center.

She was born February 6, 1949, in Paintsville, KY, to the late Cline Salyers and Louise Slone.

She is survived by her husband, Verlin Castle of Thealka, KY; one son, Brett (Shelly) Castle of Van Lear, KY; one brother, Cline (Mabel) Salyers Jr. of Winchester, KY; two grandchildren, Aaron Castle (Madison Ison), Lauryn Castle; along with two great-grandchildren, Arlo and Lillian.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 P.M., Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Larry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Castle Family Cemetery at Thealka. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Tuesday, December 16, 2025, and on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until the time of funeral services at 1 P.M.
