Kenneth Auxier, age 81, of Lancaster, Kentucky formerly of Johnson County, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at his home.

Kenneth was born December 26, 1940 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Edgar Auxier and Opal Taylor Auxier. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Auxier and one sister, Bonnie Brown.

He is survived by his wife Wanda June Tackett Auxier; two daughters, Connie Renee' (Vessie "VL") Auxier Workman of Staffordsville, Kentucky and Jennifer Louise (Larry S.) Auxier Salyer of Flat Gap, Kentucky; one brother, James Ralph (Gertrud) Auxier of East Point, Kentucky; one sister, Sherry Leigh (Dean) Slone of Oil Springs, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Janie Auxier of Hager Hill, Kentucky; brother-in-law, Leroy Brown of East Point, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Ashleigh Elizabeth Workman and Truman Storm Salyer; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Mark McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2022 and 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022.
