Kenneth Gerald Lyons, age 57, of Staffordsville, Kentucky, went home to be with  God on Saturday, December 18, 2021.

He was born May 12, 1964 to his parents Clarence and late Carolyn Jayne Lyons.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Jean Jayne Lyons and  also one sister, Christine Zometa.

He is survived by his father, Clarence Lyons and Mamma, Betty Lou Lyons; one brother, Daryl Lyons of Lexington, Ky; one good friend, Anna Lyons. He has two sons Kenny (Miranda) Lyons and Jeffrey (Megan) Lyons both of Somerset, Ky; four grandchildren, Sebastian, Kadence, Katie, Savannah. Survived by also many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

His dog Spicy was his best friend, any where Kenny was setting you would find his dog. Kenny liked trucking, the Fire Department, the Police Department, His nick name was Cannon Ball to all his buddies, Kenny was always willing to help anyone if he could.

Most of all he loved God with all his heart. His wish was for his boys to have a good life and take care of his grandchildren. His biggest wish was for his Mamma to take care of his dad after he was gone.

Kenny is with God.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Gary Blair officiating.  Burial will follow at Jayne Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky.  Friends may visit Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Monday, December 20, 2021, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
