June was born August 10, 1937 in Kozo, Japan.  She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Carey VanHoose of Sitka, KY; one daughter, Yukino McLemore and husband Jeff of Georgetown, Texas; two sisters of Japan; three brothers of Japan; one granddaughter, Nicole McLemore and friend Trey of  Miami, Florida and one grandson,  Zach McLemore of Denver, Colorado.

Also very special to June's heart were Jerry and Patty Tackett, Todd and Dena, Brother-in-Law, Leroy Johnson, Brenda Slone, Patty Sturgill, Lola Wright, Doug and Angie Slusher and their wonderful grandkids and a host of nieces and nephews.  All were special to June.

In good health June was always cooking a tasty dish or doing sewing like only she could so.  Also an avid volleyball player and bowler, she was known and respected by everyone in those sports.

June was a great wife, a wonderful mother and grandmother, a caring friend who could be counted on in any situation.  She will be sorely missed but she gave her heart to the Lord and we know she is in a far better place, free of the afflictions that plagued her here on earth.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022, 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022 and 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 P.M Monday, July 29, 2022.
