Larry "Bear" Griffith, age 63, passed away Friday, August 21, 2020 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky.

Bear was born February 11, 1957 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Wayne and Neva Harmon Griffith. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Sambo Griffith and one sister, Judy Dewire.

He is survived by one daughter, Savannah (Clifton) Royal of Berea, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Maggie Grace Royal; two brothers, Jeff "Pooh" Griffith of Lexington, Kentucky and Scott Wells of Michigan; two sisters, Vickie (Eulas) Crace and Valerie (Chad) Meade all of Paintsville, Kentucky; special friend, RJ Williams of Boons Camp, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2020 in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Joe Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Sunday, August 23, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, August 24, 2020 from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2020.
