Latona Ann Crider, age 72, of Staffordsville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022, at her home in Staffordsville, Kentucky.
Tonnie was born June 9, 1949, in Paintsville, Kentucky.
On September 23, 1964, she married the love of her life, Richard Crider. Tonnie and Richard were married 57 years. They had three children: Tammy, Rick, and David. Plus, all the friends the boys brought home, who loved their "bonus" mom as she made them welcome in her home and in her family.
Tonnie is preceded in death by her parents: Elisha Blevins, Jr and Marie Hall Blevins; her daughter, Tammy; her brother, Ronnie Blevins and her sister, Elizabeth Crislip.
After Tonnie's mother passed away, Tonnie became the matriarch of her family and assumed the role of mom to her youngest siblings, Nita, and Ronnie. She became not only a mom to Ronnie and Nita but grandparent to their children: Anna, Travis, Daniel, and Ryan. She was the favorite aunt by all her nieces and nephews but especially by her niece, Teresa Dawn. Tonnie was fondly referred to as Aunt TonTon or Aunt Tonnie but her favorite name was Mamaw Dutchie.
Tonnie is survived by her loving husband, Richard and her son's and their families: Rick and Holly of Staffordsville and David and Shawnann of Staffordsville. Her 4 grandchildren: Louden (Leaken) of Staffordsville; Shelby (Ethan) of Volga; Jessica and Trenton. Tonnie was very proud of her son's and of her grandchildren. She loved them all dearly.
Tonnie is survived by her siblings: Hershell (Janice) of Staffordsville, Kentucky; Nita Obrian of Paintsville, Kentucky; and Sandra (Pete) Jollie of Littleton, Colorado. As well as several great-nieces and nephews; and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Jim Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Staffordsville Church Cemetery, Little Mud Lick Road, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2022 and 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
