Leah Tuggle Reel, age 70, of Staffordsville passed away on Friday evening, June 5, 2026 at her residence.
She was born on July 28, 1955 in Somerset, KY to the late Eugene Ray and Mary Ina Selvidge Tuggle. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers: Edward Tuggle and Ivan Tuggle.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Turner; one son, Nathan (Kimberly) Reel of Blaine; two daughters: Amy Daniel of Knoxville, TN, Megan Dials (Jim Rippy) of Staffordsville; along with five grandchildren: Luke Daniel, Jace Dials, Nicholas Reel, Jaelyn Dials, and Emma Leah Reel.
Ms. Reel was a retired educator from the Johnson County School System and was a proud past coach of the Johnson Central High School Aqua Eagles Swim Team. As a token of that dedication, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions in the late Coach Reel's memory may be made to the Johnson Central High School Aqua Eagles Swim Team.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Sunday, June 14, 2026 in the chapel of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Ben Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Staffordsville. Friends may visit at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. and on Sunday from 1 P.M. until the time of the funeral services at 2 P.M.
Jones-Preston Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with all final arrangements for Ms. Leah Tuggle Reel.
