Lee Sester, age 48 of Auxier, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Hazard, KY.

Lee was born October 8, 1974 in Floyd County, Kentucky, son of Janice Barnett McAninch and late Walter Sester. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Sarah Perry; two brothers, Bill Gullett and Paul Sester.

He is survived by his mother, Janice Barnett McAninch of Auxier, Kentucky; one son, Bryson Kidd of Hindman, Kentucky; one daughter, Maceigh Kidd of Hindman, Kentucky; four brothers, Lowell Barnett, Steve Barnett, Curtis (Deanna) Newsome all of Prestonsburg, Kentucky and Keith (Lana) Barnett of Paintsville, Kentucky; two sister, Retta (Matt) Stapleton of Prestonsburg, Kentucky and Linda (Robert) Stewart of Somerst, Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Hope Sester of Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 18, 2023 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Steve Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg , Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Friday, June 16, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday June 17, 2023 from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 12:00 noon until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
