Leland Robert Wells, age 83, of West Van Lear, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Paintsville ARH.

Leland was born December 18, 1937 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Woodrow and Irene Wells.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Tackett Wells; three children, Gina Wells of Charlotte, North Carolina, Lisa (Jamie) Powell of Georgetown, Kentucky and Robert Wells of Nashville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Alina (Alexander) Banks, Evan Powell, Luke Powell, Ella Wells; and three brothers, Linton Wells of Louisville, Kentucky, Larry Joe (Lola) Wells of Paintsville, Kentucky and Edwin (Patty) Wells of Versailles, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021.
