Leslie Fields, age 77, of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 in Paintsville, Kentucky.

Leslie was born January 28, 1943 in Martin County, Kentucky, son of the late Ernest and Opal McCoy Fields.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Archie Fields, T.J. Fields, and Ray Fields and one sister; Helen Howard.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Karen Fields; two sons, Gregory (Mary Ellen) Fields of Arlington Heights, Illinois and Michael (Mary) Fields of Batavia, Illinois; three daughters, Sandra Hooten of New Port Richey, Florida, Jennifer Fields of Chicago, Illinois, and Laura (Joshua) Cox of Corbin, Kentucky; two brothers, Walker (Becky) Fields and Donald Fields both of Martin County, Kentucky, two sisters, Joyce (Eddie) Lockwood of Warfield, Kentucky and Ernestine (Randy) Scalf of Galloway, Ohio; seven grandchildren; Melissa Dorus, Justin Hooten, Heather Fields, Tyler Hooten, Holly Fields, Emily Hooten, and Max Fields and six great grandchildren; Lily, Charlie, Henry, Ryder, Gunner, and Caroline, and very many special nieces and nephews also survive.

Private Funeral mass will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Washington Avenue, Paintsville, Kentucky 41240. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky.  Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.

**Due to COVID-19, the family has requested that the funeral mass be private.
