We regretfully announce the passing of Linda F Castle, 76, of Sitka, Kentucky. Linda passed peacefully on January 20 ^th , 2022 with her husband at her side.  She will be remembered as a vibrant personality, with a smile that could light up a room.

After graduating from Morehead State University, Linda began a career as a social worker. She retired after 41 years working for the Kentucky State Department.  She was a celebrated Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Point Pleasant and Flat Gap Baptist Church, loved animals, and will be dearly missed.

Linda is survived by husband Richard, and several nieces and nephews; she is preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Edna Merle Conley Fairchild, one sister, Vivian Fairchild and one brother, David R. Fairchild.

We will be celebrating her life on Monday, January 24 ^th , 2022 with visitation at 11:00 a.m. until time of service following at 12:00 Noon in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky.
