Lois Kay Fromm Hicks, age 70, of Thelma, Kentucky, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at Prestonsburg Health Care Center, Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

Lois was born March 21, 1950, in Allen County, Indiana, daughter of the late Calvin Lyle Fromm and Kathleen LaMay McCormick.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Birchel Hicks; one brother, Gary Lee Fromm, one sister, Karen Dianne Jett and one great-grandchild Kenton Randall Gage Lemaster.

She is survived by two sons, James Allen Hicks of Hager Hill, KY, Michael Edward Hicks of Paintsville, KY; two daughters, Angela Lamae Blair of Paintsville, KY, Nancy Jane Kidd of Morehead, KY; four brothers, Calvin Lyle Fromm Jr. of Fort Wayne, IN, Alan Gail Fromm of Zanesville, IN, Thomas Dale Fromm of Columbia City, IN, and Kevin Michael Fromm of New Haven, IN;  four sisters, Kathleen LaMay Hicks of South Whitley, IN, Joyce Patricia Pearson of Fort Wayne, IN, Sharon Faye Brinkman of New Haven, IN, and Lisa Sue Allard of Columbia City, IN; five grandchildren, Brittany Shandell Ratliff, Jessica Hope Blair, Victoria Danielle Tabb, William Michael Hicks and Connor Everett Hicks; two great-grandchildren, Callen Birchel Isaac Hurt and Anisa Kaylie Jade Hurt.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Harry Neal Frisby and Van West officiating.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky.  Friends may visit Jones-Preston Funeral Home Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
