Loraine Dye Preston, age 86, of Hager Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at Paul B Hall Medical Center.

Loraine was born September 14, 1935 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Troy Fairchild and Minnie Rose Ward Fairchild. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Dye, Jr, and second husband James Preston; one son, Danny Dye and one daughter, Darlene Osborne.

She is survived by her two sons, Jimmy Dye, of Hager Hill, KY and Ronnie Dye, of Flat Gap, KY; three daughters, Magdaline Medicus of Nippa, KY, Tammy Lowe of Hager Hill, KY and Florine Spencer of Alabama; two sisters, Merle Hamilton of Fairborn, Ohio and Neva Lee Kimbler of  Paintsville, KY; eleven grandchilden, host of great and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2021.
