Loretta Salyer Poe, age 88, of Oil Springs, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 10, 2023 at her home.

Loretta was born on October 14, 1934, in Johnson County, daughter of late Harvey Salyer and Vertrice Salyer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Quenton Blanton, secound husband, Cecil Patrick, and third husband, Charles Poe; one son, William Michael "Bill" Blanton; five brothers, Hershell Salyer, George Salyer, Berlin Salyer, Harvey Jr. Salyer and Shafter Salyer; and three sisters, Gladys Riggs, Allie Ward and Julia Ratliff.

Loretta is survived by one brother, Prentice Salyer of Bellefontaine, Ohio; two grandchildren, Jaime Renee Blanton and Nicole Dawn Blanton; four great grandchildren, Aaron, Peyton, Cameron, and Jaxon; one daughter-in-law, Vanessa Penix Blanton of Georgetown, Kentucky. special nephew and niece, Freddy and Karen Salyer; and her dedicated caregivers, Belinda Radcliff, Faye Jenkins, Misty Fields, Jill Whitaker, Beverly Haney, and Virginia Perkins.

Loretta was a member of Little Paint United Baptist Church, being baptized on December 11, 1982.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2023, in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Elders Freddy Salyer, John Blanton and Paul Blanton officiating with burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2023 and 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2023.
