Lorraine Murray Price, age 79, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia.

Lorraine was born January 13, 1941 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Willard and Thelma Bowling Murray. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Beverly Murray.

She is survived by two daughters, Carla Cannon (Tom) of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and Loretta/Lori Price Castle of Riceville, Kentucky; one son, Dwayne Price (Nancy) of Staffordsville, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Josh Preston (Lynn) of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Zachary Castle of Tutor Key, Kentucky, Jacob Cannon of Lexington, Kentucky, Lyndsay Conley (Kyle) of Winchester, Kentucky, and Kayla Price (Adam) of Sitka, Kentucky; special adopted son, Ralph Arms (Diane) of Columbus, Ohio; three great grandchildren, Lucas, Kaden, and Olivia; one brother, Roger Murray of Thelma, Kentucky; two sisters, Charlene Trusty (Bruce) of Thelma, Kentucky and Willa Dene Meade of Flatwoods, Kentucky; and a host a nieces, nephews, and special friends.

She was a graduate of Meade Memorial High School and attended Mayo State Vocational School. She loved to sew and research her family genealogy. Lorraine was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for over 20 years. She was saved and baptized at Chestnut Freewill Baptist Church in 1956. Lorraine served the Lord her entire life and was known for having a servant's heart.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Tommy Meade and Toby Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Family Cemetery, Chestnut, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2020 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020.
