Louranza "Junior" Dowell Damron, Jr., age 62, of Colista, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at U.K. Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky.

Junior was born June 2, 1958 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Louranza Dowell Damron and Ruby Sue Bowling Damron. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Linda May and Sharon Jean Castle.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Delores Fulton Damron; one son, Louranza Dowell Damron III of Colista, Kentucky; one daughter, Delores Mae Woods of Colista, Kentucky; three grandchildren, John Michael Woods, Bryan Maeson Woods and Isabella Grace Woods; two brothers, Michael Damron and Chris Damron; and four sisters, Sherry Saylor, Pam Damron, Lana Jani and Betty Gaye Delong.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2021 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2021.
