Madelyn Meade, age 89, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Breathitt Health and Rehab.

Madelyn was born September 10, 1937 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Brooksie and Magdalene “Maggie” Wells Collins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Meade and sister, Daisy Williams, Peggy VanHoose, and Wiladean Schaaf.

She is survived by one son, Kevin Lee Meade of Paintsville, Kentucky; one daughter Kerri Angela Conley Ratliff and husband Rick; three grandchildren, Kassandra Lehman and husband Frank, Alex Conley and wife Millie, and Joshua Conley; and three great-grandchildren, Margaret Lehman, Julie Conley, and Theodore Conley.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Highland Memorial Park. Burial will follow after service. There will be no visitation prior to services.
